Base Camp Launch with @demiprentiss hosted by the Our Saviour, Madison County
This Saturday, we launched Base Camp: A School for Mission with a day spent led in reflection on our baptismal call by Dr. Demi Prentiss, co-author of Radical Sending: Go to Love and Serve. Throughout the day, we broke out into small groups, shared about our personal connection and dove deeper into one of the five baptismal promises in the Baptismal Rite.
My group shared about promise no. 3: With God’s help, will you proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ? We talked about storytelling, listening, and seeing people as God sees them so you can share the Good News with them.
The work of Base Camp: A School for Mission will be evolving as it unfolds, but the goal is to spiritually nourish and develop lay leaders in our faith communities, and it was a joy to have 9 different faith communities represented for this launch!
