Missioner Monday: Ninth Sunday After Pentecost with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (Newport, Kentucky).
It was a joy to be with the people of St. Paul’s yesterday: getting to meditate on Christ’s urgency to share God’s kingdom with us in Father Matt Young’s sermon, the quiet contemplation of the 8:30 service and the music of the 10:30, as well as the fellowship after the worship made the day full and holy.
Volunteers from St. Paul’s Food Pantry who go out to glean from The Giving Fields KY, a partner for the food pantry, brought back the abundance of the fields to shared with the church. The kale, tomatoes, jalapenos, and squash will be a delightful reminder of my time with the people of St. Paul’s this week; thanks be to God!
