Chaplain at Mini Camp I & II at The Cathedral Domain!
I believe the best way to put it is that The Domain is a thin place. It’s a place of closeness with nature, with each other, and with God. And I believe the best way to describe Mini Camp is so much energy, no matter how hot it was!!
It was a true joy to be with the fantastic Summer Staff, the Camp Counselors, the Mini Camp Deans: Kat, Ann, and Brittney, and all the campers, over 90 rising 2nd and 3rd graders across the two mini camps! We acted out Jesus’ parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector and Saul’s Conversion on the Road to Damascus, we wrote our own Prayers of the People, and we talked about what it means to “Be Still and Know”!
It wasn’t my first time out at the Domain, but it was my first time to experience the full summer camp experience there, and even though I’m still doing laundry and singing about a certain moose, I look forward to being back soon!
